Griffith University is named in honor of the Prime Minister of the State of Queensland and the Australian Constitution author Samuel Griffith, formally founded in 1971, but his first faculty - Queensland College of Art - has been operating since the distant 1881.
Place in the rankings of the institution
The whole University is on 341th place overall in the World University Rankings in 2013 (this is the first 4% of the leading universities in the world). Griffith entered the First World Hundred in some areas. This is educational, legal and political science departments.
Among Australian universities in the authoritative international rating The Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) Griffith divides 10-16 place. But the list of the Inland University Reviews Australia (URA) university position is 27 th place on the continent.
Location, branches
Griffith is the second most important after the University of Queensland University of Queensland. Five university campuses lined up along the ocean coast of the province's largest city of Brisbane to the Gold Coast Resort. Requirements for applicants
For admission to undergraduate course required to have completed secondary education. The average rating should be not less than 4.5; otherwise it will have to undergo a preparatory program at Griffith University.
You also need to know English on the IELTS 6.5 level (that includes very hard essay writing task) no lower than estimates of 6.0 or TOEFL 79 with no evaluations below 19 (in 2015 - no less than 21 evaluations).
For Master's degree, in addition to language examinations, needed a bachelor's degree in the specialty and, importantly, two authoritative recommendations.
